Capacity Building including training

Many of our projects include one or more components of capacity building which may include provision of:

Ø                In-country training to fund regulators and government officials in understanding funds and how they work

Ø                Study tours to foreign countries to learn from markets that have undergone similar learning curves

Ø                In-country training for fund managers and their service providers

Ø                ‘Hand-holding’ advice to regulators implementing new or amended laws or regulations

Ø                Writing procedural manuals and training regulators in their application

Ø                Training in regulatory techniques such as preparing for, undertaking and following up on inspection visits

Ø                Drafting of reporting formats

In total, since 1991, we have trained around three thousand market participants and regulators in both developed and emerging markets.  The two principals of Cadogan Financial are also co-authors of Managing Collective Investment Funds, a complete guide to the operation of investment funds, published by John Wiley & Sons in 2003.  Further information on the book can be found on our sister company website, Cadogan Education, together with information on investment fund sectors in more than eighty countries.
